Analysis of the prevalence of osteoarticular pathologies in horses based on the results of radiography

This article provides an overview of the literatureand recent scientific research on spread bone andjoint pathology among horses. Reasoned relevance andprospects this issue.The also presents results own aimed at analyzing distribution diseases in horses territory equestriansports clubs Kharkiv region, Poltava region andKyiv with aim finding out frequencyof occurrence group pathologies.To achievethe goal, radiography 40 heads aged 8-21years riding breeds, which had signs lamenessof resisting limb, was carried out. Based theresults research, differential diagnosis boneand joint Differential arthrosis presented taking into account thepathological process and its localization. According tothe obtained data, accounted for 55% thetotal number studied animals, osteoporosis – 25%,periostitis 7.5%, cystic formations cracks –7.5%. Bone not detected theremaining 5%. Arthritic phenomena were localized inthe joints distal part limbs, namely: hoof,coronal, putative, carpal hock. A case registered when degenerative concentratednot only one joint, but moved to lower one.Among arthrosis, there cases osteoarthrosis, exfoliative osteochondritis, presence ossification within joint. The comparesown data by foreign researchersregarding pathologiesin horses.In addition, substantiates feasibilityof inhorses demonstrates effectiveness X-ray diagnostics these pathologies.
